Next Tuesday, November the 18th, a Glow in the Dark Capture the Flag game of epic proportions will be taking place.  We will be meeting at 9pm in the Sac and then heading back behind Huron to the huge field where the big game will begin.

The first afternoon tea of the year is coming soon!  Enjoy some free tea and cookies with your fellow teachers and professors next Thursday November 20th.  The event will be beginning at 2pm in the SAC.

New Paramount Studios will be in the International Centre (beside the Kingsmill Room) on Nov 27 and 28, 2008. At this time they will be taking photographs for the graduate portraits, including photos for the graduating class composite and yearbook.

The sit fee is $30.00 cash, which includes 12 poses, 1-11×14 composite and the use of green screen technology. Please book your appointment as soon as possible to ensure you have a time to do your photos.

Booking Instructions:

Graduating students should go to the www.newparamount.com. Once there, click on the graduation tab, click on book your appointment in green print, click on register as new user, and then fill in info. Afterwards, your password is emailed back within 1 hour. Follow the aforementioned steps with password and username (email address) thus accessing the dates and book a specific time.

Note: a permanent email is needed to alert the graduate of on going special, graduate only discounts on all New Paramount Studios photography services.

Please Book As Soon As Possible

Graduates must book appointment at least 12 hours before requested appointment time. Appointment bookings close 12 hours before the time booked i.e. if grad books Monday at 9:00 a.m. the last chance to book that time is Sunday at 9:00 p.m.

Green Screen Technology

You will be photographed against a green screen which allows you to insert unique background scenes from your College when ordering your photos.

What to Wear:

Men: neutral colour collared shirt. 

Women, white collared blouse.

Elections Quebec has sent information brochures, so if you’re interested in finding out more on how you can register and vote in this election, stop by the HUCSC Office across from the SAC for more infomation!

For those who were unable to tryout last week, tryouts will be continuing throughout this week as well.

On November 4th, Mark Trinnear from Channer’s clothing is coming to Huron to teach you how to dress for success.  This presentation, which includes advice for both males and females will be giving students the tips they need to dress properly in the business world.  It will be taking place at 4pm in the Sac.

Tryouts Thursday will now be in the Kingsmill room from 2-4pm and on Friday they will be from 3-5pm in the Cafeteria.

Huron is hosting its annual Halloween bash in affiliation with Premier Productions at Taphouse this Friday!  Tickets are $10 to get you into this exclusive party. Buy yours in the front courtyard at huron between 1-3pm this week or contact Jeff Crocker at 519-878-8047.

It is your chance to strut your stuff down the runway.  Tryouts to be a model in this year’s Huron Fashion Show.  Tryouts will be taking place this week on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 pm in the great hall and Thursday and Friday at not yet known time and location.

Hey everyone!

If you are planning on attending Think Pink on Friday, tickets are $10 and are being sold by the charity committee from 1-3pm in or outside the SAC, or from 5-7pm in the Dining Hall all week long. They will be selling Think Pink t-shirts and Thingamaboobs (cute and educational key chains) as well, all to raise money for the charity. Tickets can also be purchased from Jenn Lillie, Sarah Cassellis or Dan Moulton.
